October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. S-5! is donating $5,000 to two amazing charities to support breast cancer patients and their families. S-5! is asking people in the industry to join the company by purchasing its “Give Cancer the Boot” t-shirts.

Ware Malcomb announced March 5 that its employee philanthropic giving arm, WM Community, has contributed more than $1 million to Orange County United Way since it began fundraising for the nonprofit organization in 1999.

The SPEC MIX BRICKLAYER 500 North Texas Regional event and its live mason contractor auction raised $58,700 at the sixth annual Bricks, Blocks & Bags for Bikes Charity Auction. The money enabled the local group of “Santa’s Helpers” to purchase 1,000 bikes for underprivileged youth in the North Texas area.

AGC Charities Inc. and the Construction Leadership Council of the Nevada Contractors Association teamed up to lead dozens of volunteers to make improvements and repaint a large gym for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada. The volunteer workday at the Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse in Henderson, Nevada, involved painting – free of charge – a 45-foot-tall gym that encloses three basketball courts and serves the local community.

Crane Composites, a subsidiary of Crane Co., recently presented 35 organizations with donations as part of their long-standing and valued tradition of supporting local communities through the Crane Fund for Widows and Children.

AGC Charities Inc., the charitable arm of the Associated General Contractors of America, donated $265,000 to fund a new "National Healing Quarters" for Warrior Canine Connection. 

Simpson Strong-Tie donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to assist with relief efforts for communities affected by the wildfires in Northern and Southern California.

Simpson Strong-Tie donated $30,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to assist with relief efforts for the many communities affected by Hurricane Michael in the US Atlantic states and Central America, as well as by the earthquakes in Indonesia.
