Sto Corp has announced the appointment of David Boivin as its new cehief executive officer. He is succeeding the retiring Macon Lowe, who has been at the helm of Sto since 1993. Boivin joins the company from CertainTeed Corp., where was vice president of sales and marketing for the Insulation Group, for the past six years. He also served as a plant manager for CertainTeed from 1991 through 1996.
Prior to joining CertainTeed, David managed manufacturing operations in the appliance, rechargeable batter and ceramics industries over a span of six years. He began his career with General Electric, and was financial analyst for several divisions of GE Lighting from 1978 to 1986.
The search for the CEO position was completed by the Wilmington N.C. Boivin is originally from Boston and a 1978 graduate of Northeastern University. He and his wife Debbie have three children.
