The Stud Chopper manufactures portable shears for cutting metal framing studs on the job site and at the manufacturing plants. There are three models available. The gas-powered Model "G" and the electric 110-volt Stud Chopper Jr. cut metal framing studs from 35/8-inch to 14-inch at any angle and up to 12-gauge thickness, with up to 30 cuts per minute. The Model "E" (pictured) is used in the manufacturing plant environment and is powered by a 10-horsepower electric motor. The cuts are accurate, clean and need no further finishing. They cut without producing sparks, chips, smoke or fatiguing noise.
