Hartford Concrete Products Inc., an employee-owned corporation and manufacturer of precast concrete products, recently conducted and passed both ISO 9001:2000 and National Precast Concrete Association re-certification audits in the same week.

An ISO 9001 certified precast concrete producer since 1998, Hartford Concrete became the first company in the industry to receive both certifications in 2002, when it also earned NPCA Plant Certification.

"NPCA Plant Certification, combined with ISO 9001:2000 Certification, has helped Hartford Concrete make significant improvements in our processes," said Sam Lines, quality and safety engineer for Hartford Concrete. "While ISO focuses on management and the overall process from order to delivery, NPCA Plant Certification specifies the best practices for producing precast concrete products. They complement each other well."
