Division created to manage Lafarge's aggregate business on Great Lakes
Lafarge Corp. has formed a Great Lakes division to manage its rapidly growing water-based supply network for aggregates (crushed stone, metallurgical stone, sand and gravel). The announcement comes after Lafarge completed the CDN $425 million acquistion of Warren Paving & Materials Group Ltd. The company also acquired a quarry at Presque Isle, Mich., last June.
