Hunter Douglas acquires Mermet, the French sunscreen fabric manufacturer
Hunter Douglas has acquired 91.8 percent of Mermet and its global operations from the Mermet family. Headquartered in Veyrins, France, Mermet is a manufacturer of glass fiber sunscreen fabrics.
In September, Hunter Douglas will make a public offer for the remaining shares, which are listed on the French stock exchange.
Mermet had sales of 51.2 million euros in 2004 and employs 360 people.
