Georgia-Pacific's lumber group announced it will close its Fort Bragg, Calif., sawmill effective in the fourth quarter 2002. In spite of significant capital investments, the Fort Bragg mill is no longer profitable, primarily due to market conditions over the past few years.
NFPA 5000 Building Code, with ANSI 99A EIFS Standard, nears issuance
The National Fire Protection Association has accepted the "NFPA 5000 Building Code," which references the ANSI 99A standard for EIFS used in residential and commercial construction. The NFPA Building Code is now poised to become the first national building code to be developed through an ANSI-approved consensus process. Once issued, the code can be adopted by all state and local jurisdictions.
