PABCO Building Products LLC President and current Chairman of the Board of the Gypsum Association Alfred Mueller has announced that Jerry Walker, executive director of the GA, plans to retire effective Dec. 31, 2003.

Walker has served as executive director since joining the GA in 1988. Among his first projects was moving the association office from Illinois to Washington.

The search process for the new executive director will begin immediately.

“It is our plan to have Jerry’s successor in place by this fall,” said Mueller. “I know I speak for all the member companies of the association in saying Jerry has done an outstanding job in directing the … association during a time of unprecedented change within the gypsum board manufacturing industry.”
