Sustainable Facility, a new publication from the editors and publishers of Environmental Design + Construction Magazine, will debut in October to more than 30,000 BPA-audited facility and energy management subscribers. The magazine will publish twice in 2007 with editorial content written for professionals overseeing commercial, institutional, industrial and government facilities. It is slated to be published every other month in 2008.

“We’re excited to expand the trusted resources of ED+C and BNP Media to launch Sustainable Facility,” said Liz Obloy, publisher. “This publication, combined with its Website and e-newsletter, will meet the information needs of today’s facility managers, building owners/developers, and energy and power management professionals better than any other in the market.”

The award-winning editorial team of Michele Hucal, editor of BNP’s Environmental Design + Construction Magazine, and Joseph Mayton III, former assistant editor of ED+C, will produce Sustainable Facility. Editorial content will include all phases of commercial resource conservation unique to the “green” facility community: Alternative energy, building automation efficiency, sustainable design/build techniques for interiors and envelopes, water conservation techniques, green cleaning and maintenance, indoor air quality, cool roofing, green-focused repair/replace/remodeling, daylighting, and energy conservation.
