A series of seminars in 46 cities across the United States will provide concrete designers and specifiers information on the changes in ACI 318-08.
The seminars, co-sponsored by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and Portland Cement Association (PCA), give a step-by-step guide of the new code provisions and show participants how to implement them in their day-to-day work activities. The courses are led by engineers who are uniquely qualified to explain each change, why it was made, and what it means to designers and specifiers of structural concrete.
The one-day courses began October 1, 2008 and will be offered in several cities through May 12, 2009. For more information, seminar locations and to register, visitwww.concrete.org.
