PrimeSource Building Products Inc. is purchasing the assets of Compass International Inc., supplier of the Marker and Darts line of fasteners. Compass’s Marker family includes drywall, sheet metal, wood, cement, and multipurpose screws, as well as steel building fasteners and driver accessories. Other Compass brands include Darts self-drilling screws, DeckMark deck fasteners, and TapMark concrete accessories. The brand recognition associated with Markers and Darts will continue in conjunction with the Pro-Twist brand.

Fishbein said customers of both PrimeSource and Compass International products should expect normal business operations to continue throughout the course of the transaction. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
