ClarkWestern Building Systems announced that its U.S.-based manufacturing facilities have received the Steel Stud Manufacturers Association code compliance certification. This certification provides independent verification that the quality of structural cold-formed steel framing manufactured by ClarkWestern complies with code requirements.
Conducted by Architectural Testing Inc., in conjunction with SSMA, the third-party verification is supported by random manufacturing facility audits, as well as sampling and testing, of certified products for compliance to the program requirements. Architectural Testing is accredited as an independent inspection agency, meeting the requirements of ISO 17020, and also as an independent testing laboratory in accordance with ISO 17025.
“Participating in the SSMA certification program demonstrates ClarkWestern’s dedication to providing contractors, specifiers, architects and other building professionals with code-compliant materials,” said Bill Courtney, president and CEO of ClarkWestern Building Systems. “Our company and our industry association are providing the transparency of third-party testing to assure that our customers are getting products made to meet or exceed the ASTM standards and the Building Codes. We appreciate the spirit of cooperation the SSMA members have displayed in putting the industry first and bringing compliance to the forefront on a national level.”
ClarkWestern’s manufacturing facilities are located in Middletown, Ohio; Riverside, Calif.; Baltimore; Sacramento, Calif.; Pendergrass, Ga.; Phoenix; Dade City, Fla.; Rochelle, Ill.; Dallas and Bristol, Conn.
