Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Systems has announced that nine items in its Optima Open Plan family of ceilings are now available with a fiberglass substrate made with a plant-based binder. Optima Open Plan ceilings with the new plant-based binder are available in both lay-in and tegular in several sizes. A high-performing acoustical environment also contributes to indoor environmental quality. The ceilings offer outstanding sound absorption with a noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of 0.95 and articulation class (AC) of 190, a high light reflectance (LR) value of 0.90, is made of 71 percent recycled content and its durability and humidity resistance contribute to longer service life.
