Atlanta-based
Sto Corp. has announced the awarding of the ISO 9001:2008 certification for all
its manufacturing facilities and corporate offices. The company has been ISO
certified since 1998.
The
EIFS manufacturer successfully passed an ISO 9001:2008 examination that
specifies requirements for a quality management system.
“The
ISO 9001:2008 certification focuses on product and service quality management,”
said David Boivin, president and CEO of Sto. “We have exceeded our
manufacturing goal by listening to our customers’ needs and using them as our
framework while achieving continual improvement of our performance. Our brand
states ‘Building with conscience’ and we take that very seriously.”
Sto
also holds a second ISO designation. Approved in March 2009, the company
achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management certified. ISO 14001 specifies
the actual requirements for an environmental management system. It applies to
those environmental aspects that the organization has control over and which it
can be expected to have an influence.
