Sales
of new homes surged 27 percent last month, as better weather and government
incentives boosted sales.
Alan Zibel of the Associated Press reported in April that new home sales
climbed 27 percent in March. The boost was attributed to favorable weather
conditions and government incentives.
The Commerce Department reported that new-home sales rose in March to a
seasonally adjusted annual sales pace of 411,000.
The home sales reports more signed contracts than completed sales. New-home
sales were seen nationwide.
