Insulfoam has announced its expansion into Western Pennsylvania. Manufacturing is scheduled to begin in the summer in a 200,000-square-foot facility, located in Smithfield, Pa. The company will share the plant with sister company Hunter Panels.
“Insulfoam has successfully served the engineered EPS insulation market through a tough economy,” said John Cambruzzi, director of marketing and national accounts. “Our engineered EPS products are 100 percent recyclable, offer excellent energy efficiency and long term stable R value to both new and retrofit construction projects. With legislation endorsing sustainable product decisions throughout the country, we believe that the time is right to invest in the expansion of our manufacturing locations to better serve our East Coast customers.”
“This joint effort with Hunter Panels (the Nation’s leading rigid polyiso insulation manufacturer) enables us to co-operatively serve the insulation product needs of our customers with both EPS and polyiso insulation products on the Eastern Seaboard. That is something no other insulation manufacturer has been able to do successfully,” said Cambruzzi.
This new Eastern location will ship product to all New England, Mid Atlantic and select Midwestern states. The Smithfield plant will join existing Insulfoam manufacturing plants in Florida, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, California, Washington and Alaska to produce energy-efficient EPS construction and specialty products for contractors, architects, engineers, and OEM product manufacturers throughout North America.
