National Gypsum has launched a new Web site, www.drywallfacts.com. This site aims to correct misperceptions and false statements about the quality, safety and environmental record of the company’s drywall.

The site includes both basic facts about drywall, as well as more detailed scientific information and links to other relevant Web sites. It is meant to serve as a central repository of key information and a quick reference for use by the media, vendors, suppliers, builders and consumers.

“We’re fully confident of the safety and quality of our drywall,” said Craig Weisbruch, senior vice president of Sales & Marketing. “The controversy over defective Chinese drywall used during the most recent housing boom has led to a great deal of public confusion regarding all drywall-including American-made drywall.
