Outside
the Lines (OTL), a California-based design and themed construction company, has
been named to the List of Top 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Orange
County by the Orange County Business Journal. The business journal ranked OTL
No. 16 on its list. This is the first year OTL has been included.
“This
is a high honor for our company,” says OTL CEO J. Wickham Zimmerman. “Being
recognized for our growth is an indication that our customers feel we bring
value to their projects.”
Zimmerman
attributes OTL’s growth to “a talented team that strives to provide exceptional
service and quality on every project they’re involved in. Since our founding,
we’ve never deviated from our vision of providing the finest rockwork, themed
construction and specialty water feature projects in the world.”
OTL
President Hugh F. Hughes says that “when working with clients, we strive to
implement ways to control costs and serve our clients better, while maintaining
the creativity that has become our hallmark.”
Worldwide,
OTL has created signature rockwork and water features at projects ranging from
private estates in California and Antigua to
golf courses in Korea and
retail entertainment centers in Egypt.
OTL
was one of few construction companies on the Orange County Business Journal's
2011 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies, which was heavy with
technology-focused companies. To qualify for the list, organizations must be
privately held, based in Orange County,
California, and demonstrate a
significant two-year average revenue growth rate.
In
August, OTL was also named to the coveted 2011 Inc. 500 List of fastest-growing
private U.S.
companies. Inc. magazine ranked OTL No. 411 on its 30th annual Inc. 500. Within
the construction industry, OTL ranked 17th. Over the past three years, OTL
experienced 832% in revenue growth, which helped it earn the Inc. 500 rating.
