Performance Contracting Inc. has won the Supplier Safety Leadership and Excellence Award from Intel Corporation. This award is given only to those contractors that demonstrate a culture of leadership in safety, work ethic, environmental stewardship and community involvement. Contractors worldwide must undergo a rigorous application and interview process to be considered for the award.
The pre-selection process was based on a safety self-assessment rating, quality improvement plan and a lengthy presentation based on the following criteria:
• Unwavering Management Support for Employee Well-Being
• Field/Line Management Ownership
• Innovation
• Strategic Cultural Development
• Community Influence (industry community, not public community)
After being accepted into the first round of reviews, PCI was invited to present to the SSLEA Management Review Committee in Phoenix at the Intel Campus. Several weeks later, PCI was notified that the company had won.
The award trophy was presented to several members of PCI’s Interior Intel Team at Intel in Hillsboro, Ore. Jeff Leeper, an Intel executive and member of the MRC, presented the award, confirming that PCI is known as a top safety leader in the construction industry. He shared that receiving the SSLEA award distinguishes PCI’s commitment to equipping safety leaders in every level of the organization, and encouraged PCI to continue their strong focus on safety as a culture.
