The company’s RC-2 resilient sound channel is used as cross furring members for resilient attachment of gypsum wallboard or lath on ceilings and partitions. The product features expanded metal for quality sound control. It is designed to decrease sound transmission through wall partitions and ceilings. Hemmed edges provide safe and easy installation. The RC-2 features two legs for greater attachment security. The product features 1-inch spaced holes in the leg flanges to facilitate fastening to frame members. With this in mind, the fastening should be at every stud, alternating flanges. This provides easy screw placement on the stud and makes installation simple and straight forward. Channel depth is 1/2 inch and it is manufactured with 25 gauge galvanized steel.
