This course will describe CI systems for application on exterior wall assemblies that satisfy local and national prescriptive energy code requirements. The CI systems presented will include rigid foam, mineral wool, and spray-applied insulations in combination with several types of cladding assemblies. Information will be provided about various fastening requirements, installation details, and manufacturer requirements.
The Webinar will allow attendees to:
- Acquire basic knowledge about several types of insulation products used in CI exterior wall assemblies.
- Achieve an understanding about specific requirements for different types of CI materials, systems and products, their differences and similarities.
- Identify what types of CI systems are best suited to various types of cladding systems, materials, and assemblies.
- Understand what is driving the requirement of CI, state and city energy codes, IECC, and ASHRAE 90.1, for example.
