Attendees at the annual Ceilings & Interior Systems Construction Association convention had a great several day stretch to network, do business and enjoy the local Texas sites. One of the highlights was the CISCA Construction Excellence Awards, which were presented on March 21 during its annual convention. The event, held in San Antonio, brought together North America’s largest ceiling contractors. Approximately 40 contractors and projects were honored this year.

The program began with the association’s Executive Director Shirley Wodynski with welcoming words, followed by CISCA’s Brad Sampson opening remarks.

The awards were presented by Chicago Metallic’s Tracy Muller and Tectum’s Steve Udolph.

This year’s Keynote Speaker was Ron White of USA Memory Champion. His presentation was “Three Secrets to an Unstoppable Memory.” He is a two-time national memory champion winning the USA Memory Championship in 2009 and 2010. He held the record for the fastest to memorize a deck of shuffled cards in only 1 minute and 27 seconds for two years. His presentation was sponsored by USG.
