MetalWorks Torsion Spring ceilings are now available with Purewood real wood veneers. In addition to its wood look, it also offers a clean, monolithic visual in a concealed grid system that provides 100 percent downward accessibility to the plenum. Available in five standard sizes, including large size panels, the ceilings are offered in three standard veneer finishes: Natural Variations Maple, Light Cherry and Dark Cherry (custom sizes and finishes are also available). Six standard perforation patterns are offered to enhance both design aesthetics and acoustical performance. Depending on the perforation pattern, Noise Reduction Coefficients (NRC) up to 0.90 are possible when used with fiberglass infill panels to absorb sound. Made from aluminum for lighter, easier handling, the panels won’t sag or warp like real wood and are seismic tested and approved for seismic locations D, E and F. The panels contain up to 98 percent recycled content aluminum and install easily using torsion springs in a pre-punched, standard T-bar suspension system. Ideal for spaces with limited plenum clearance, the durable new ceilings can be used in a variety of office, education, hospitality, retail and transportation applications.
