NuForm Building Technologies Inc., Barrier Technology Corporation and StoneMaster Inc. have received ICC-ES building product listings to ASTM E84 - Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials.
“ICC-ES’ strong reputation in product evaluation now has extended product listings to consensus standards,” said ICC-ES President, Shahin Moinian. “What we do, however, is more comprehensive. We issue listings after we verify compliance to the applicable codes. Code officials will like our listings because of this comprehensive review.”
NuForm Building Technologies Inc.’s listed product “Conform” is a permanent formwork system for concrete walls. It serves as the exterior and interior wall finish for concrete walls. Barrier Technology Corporation’s listing was issued for Blazeguard Fire-Rated Sheathing and Blazeguard FR Deck Panels.
Blazeguard Fire-Rated Sheathing is used as a roof and/or wall sheathing, an interior finish, a thermal barrier and a component of a fire-resistance-rated assembly. Blazeguard FR Deck Panel is used as a component of a fire-classified roof covering assembly. StoneMaster, Inc.’s listing includes StoneMaster and BuildersChoice Stone, which are precast concrete product made to resemble natural stone or adobe in color and in texture.
The new building product listing program offers manufacturers an additional certification option that indicates to code officials they are approving products that comply with consensus standards referenced in building codes. To qualify for the program, a product must meet requirements in a standard specifically listed in the applicable I-Codes. Products already referenced in the International Building Code or the International Residential Code, and used as intended by the codes, also qualify for an ICC-ES listing.
