Parex USA Inc. announced its recent hire of Akkad Slevany as the corporate purchasing manager.

Slevany comes to Parex USA with over 10 years of experience in procurement and purchasing within the manufacturing and chemical industries. Most recently he was a senior sourcing manager for Jarrow Industries Inc. in Los Angeles, a manufacturer for the nutraceutical (nutritional supplements) industry.

“We’re excited to have him as part of the team and tap into his knowledge,” says Buck Buchanan, senior vice president of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. “He has great organizational skills and will be able to provide Parex USA with strategic direction and planning for our purchases company wide.”

Slevany holds a BA degree in Communications/Public Relations from Wayne State University, as well as an MBA from Central Michigan University.
