With the introduction of new Calla Ceilings, Armstrong now offers the smooth look of drywall in a ceiling panel that also provides excellent acoustical performance and plenum accessibility.

The new addition to the Armstrong line has a cool white finish and is the smoothest-looking mineral fiber ceiling panel available in the market. With its high NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient) of 0.85 and CAC (Ceiling Attenuation Class) of 28, Calla offers a combination of sound absorption and sound blocking capabilities in a single product, ensuring a balanced acoustical design in both open or closed plan spaces without the need to specify two separate ceilings.

Made from 68 percent recycled material, Calla is washable, impact-resistant, scratch-resistant, and soil resistant and can be recycled at the end of its service life as part of the Armstrong Recycling Program.  Calla is recommended for use in open and closed plan areas in offices, healthcare, educational facilities and other spaces where the look of drywall and accessibility to the ceiling plenum are desired.

Square Lay-In and Tegular Options

Calla is available as 2’ x 2’ and 2’ x 4’ square lay-in panels that install easily in a Prelude 15/16” suspension system.  Calla is also available as beveled tegular panels in a 2’ x 2’ size that can be installed in either a Prelude 15/16” suspension system or a 9/16” Suprafine, Silhouette or Interlude suspension system. All of these suspension systems are now available in a new Blizzard White finish that coordinates with the color and texture of Calla and other fine-textured ceiling panels from Armstrong, for a more monolithic installed visual.

Calla ceiling panels have a high degree of Light Reflectance (LR) with an LR rating of 0.86. They have a Class A fire rating and are third-party-certified low VOC emissions compliant.
