Last year, the EIFS Industry Members Association launched a visually-stimulating program, showing the benefits of EIFS from coast to coast on a range of projects. This program, titled the Quarterly Project Awards Program, demonstrates the wide range of benefits exterior insulation and finish systems offers. This quarter, the award goes to BASF Corporation-Finestone’s Lone Star Track Grandstand Renovation project, in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The approximately 188,000 square foot renovation project, located on roughly 315 acres between Dallas and Fort Worth, was completed in March 2013 with Boral Building Projects as the distributor. While the energy savings the Lone Star Track Grandstand will gain are obvious, the detailing of the building would have been difficult, if not impossible, with other claddings.
Once again, EIFS shows aesthetic appeal and design flexibility with this project, all while being the cost effective solution. The benefits of using EIFS as an exterior wall cladding continue to increase. This energy efficient-cost effective solution has added benefits in durability and aesthetic appeal that match many while surpassing the rest.
Founded in 1981, the EIFS Industry Members Association is a national non-profit technical trade association comprised of leading manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and applicators involved in the exterior insulation and finish systems industry.
