Lunchtime is a midday retreat for both students and teachers—they’re able to take a break from schoolwork, refuel and chat with friends. However, enjoying downtime in an unpleasant cafeteria can be tough; that’s why FrogTape brand painter’s tape, and their construction and design team, will make over one lucky school’s lunchroom as part of the 2015 FrogTape Love for the Lunchroom cafeteria makeover program. Three schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) have been selected as finalists, and online voting will determine which cafeteria receives a $10,000 upgrade.
“We had such great success with the 2014 Love for the Lunchroom program and truly made an impact with our first makeover,” said Bill Kahl, executive vice president of marketing, ShurTech Brands LLC. “The students, faculty and parents at Benjamin Franklin Elementary were so excited, and once we saw what a difference we were able to make, we knew this was a program we wanted to continue. It’s a profound feeling to contribute to our surrounding community and we’re thankful to be able to partner again in 2015 with CMSD.”
The three finalist schools are all within the CMSD, which is near ShurTech Brand’s headquarters in Avon, Ohio. After evaluating a number of schools in-need, three finalists were chosen.

FrogTape is the only painter’s tape treated with patented PaintBlock Technology. PaintBlock reacts with latex paint which instantly forms a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, creating crisp lines and helps prevent paint bleed. There are a number of tapes available within the popular family of FrogTape products, including FrogTape Textured Surface, FrogTape Multi-Surface, FrogTape Delicate Surface and FrogTape Shape Tape, the brand’s first painter’s tape cut into unique patterns that allows homeowners to quickly and easily transform a space with paint.
