At the 2014 GreenBuild International Conference and Expo, BENCHMARK By Kingspan will be displaying a wide array of engineered façade systems.
BENCHMARK engineered façade systems utilize advanced insulated metal panel technology to deliver a high-performance building envelope. In this process, conventional complexities in design and build are eliminated. Immediately upon installation the façade is removed from the critical path, the entire building is weathertight, and all interior fit-out work can get underway.
Façade systems consist of an insulated metal panel barrier wall, an integrated rail, and a designer’s choice of cladding. Traditional multi-component façade systems just can’t offer the numerous benefits provided by a BENCHMARK engineered façade system. It is a single-sourced solution that requires far less project coordination to create one of the most energy efficient building envelopes available. This fully warranted system features integrated joint and rails to eliminate penetrations. With proper installation, weathertightness is ensured.
Because a BENCHMARK engineered façade system allows a wide variety of fascia / cladding materials, architects have unparalleled flexibility in design. The possibilities include ACM (Aluminum Composite Material), a lightweight composite consisting of two aluminum cover sheets and a core made of polyethylene. There is also MCM (Metal Composite Material), a lightweight composite material, consisting of two metal cover sheets and a core made of polyethylene. Both are simple and versatile products that can deliver an easy to install, weather resistant, unbreakable, and shock resistant façade.
Another cladding option is Aluminum Plank by Kingspan, a highly attractive, durable, and versatile system with a very modern finish that can integrate seamlessly with more traditional architectural looks. Ceramic Tile, also attractive, versatile, and durable, has a highly contemporary look, yet can complement traditional textures and finishes.
BENCHMARK engineered façade systems are part of Kingspan’s EnvelopeFirst design strategy for optimizing building performance. The complete line will be displayed in Booth #417 at GreenBuild 2014, October 22-23 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
