Werner announced that it will again partner with the NCAA and Lowe’s to provide the custom ladder used to cut down the nets following the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship Games. Specifically for the Men’s Championship, Werner has developed a brand new custom Podium Ladder designed with a wider platform and taller guardrail for the players to use during the net-cutting celebration. The NCAA Division I Men’s Championship Game will occur in Houston on April 4, 2016 and the NCAA Division I Women’s Championship will occur on April 5, 2016 in Indianapolis.
“Over the years, Werner has embraced the excitement and importance of the net-cutting ceremony and wanted to find a way to help the players celebrate. With our newest product line available, we decided to customize the Podium Ladder for the net-cutting that would allow even the largest shoe size to fit on the platform and enable the tallest players to move around on top of the ladder without compromising their safety,” said Chris Filardi, vice president of marketing at Werner Co.
Furthermore, throughout the tournament Werner has sponsored additional highlights to help bring the excitement both on and off the court. Features included exclusive interviews from key basketball coaches to daring Dunks and Blocks of the Game all hosted on CBSSports.com. To catch up on the hype, videos can be seen at cbssports.com.
Finally, Werner is once again offering fans the opportunity to capture a piece of memorabilia through the Rise above the Rest Sweepstakes. Sign up for a chance to win a replica NCAA Championship Podium Ladder. Go to wernerco.com to register for a commemorative piece of the tournament. No purchase necessary to enter the drawing.
A full selection of Werner ladders for both consumers and professionals are available at Lowe’s, an Official Corporate Partner of the NCAA, and at Lowes.com, as well as most professional, hardware and paint retailers nationwide.
