eSUB Construction Software announces industry leader, Ronald Hegli, as their new Vice President of Engineering/CTO. Hegli joins eSUB’s growing leadership team at a critical juncture as the company continues to innovate and expand its project management software for construction subcontractors worldwide.

Hegli brings over 30 years of experience developing innovative cloud, mobile, and security technologies across many industries. Most recently as chief engineering officer at Critical Mass Engineering, he worked with several concept-stage companies to develop minimum viable products (MVPs) based on early customer development, including applications in the consumer, retail, and healthcare verticals, based on native mobile and web technologies.

Additionally, Hegli has held several high profile executive positions during his career, most notably at Websense where he led a 110-person engineering department with a $12M budget, including software development, quality assurance, and technical documentation. During his tenure at Websense, Hegli managed the development of its cross-platform enterprise software product through IPO and beyond, as its customer base grew to 20,000 companies, managing 5 million internet users.

Hegli also served as CTO at BrightCloud, a hosted internet security information service, playing an integral role in its acquisition by Webroot Software. He was also CTO at Awarepoint, a cloud-based, RFID asset tracking provider.

“Having worked with many technology companies during periods of rapid growth, I’m delighted to be joining eSUB Construction Software at the right time. Construction subcontractors are demanding a mobile and cloud-based solution to help them gain better business results, and eSUB is primed to deliver,” said Hegli.

Hegli will bring strategic guidance and technology leadership to eSUB’s mobile and cloud-based platform, its Azure-based infrastructure, and quality assurance process, recruiting the best local talent, as well as management of off-shore resources. Hegli’s engineering vision and experience will help eSUB continue its fast paced market adoption.

“eSUB is proud to have such an accomplished individual joining our leadership team and taking our products to the next level,” said Wendy Rogers, president and CEO, eSUB Construction Software. “I’m confident his vision and expertise will help catapult eSUB to previously unimaginable heights."

Hegli has an MS in engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in nuclear engineering from Oregon State University. He also holds 10 internet and software patents.
