Cerami & Associates, Inc., a woman-owned acoustics and integrated technology consulting firm in the U.S., announced the return of a Cerami veteran, John Hauenstein, to the firm’s acoustical leadership team. Hauenstein began his professional career at Cerami over 30 years ago and will serve as a principal working from the firm’s New York headquarters.
“John’s passion for acoustical and vibration control design, his dedication to client relationships, and his talent for mentorship will be key contributors to the continued growth of the firm,” says Victoria Cerami, CEO. “What separates Cerami from other consultancies is an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with unparalleled noise and vibration control expertise. John brings both of these elements to the table.”
She continues, “We are delighted to have him back with the Cerami team.”
After leading his own successful acoustical consultancy for 23 years, Hauenstein brings a pragmatic and innovative approach to resolving acoustical and vibration challenges, for a wide range of project types and complexity, officials add.
“In my experience, acoustical and vibration issues represent a large portion of complaints property managers receive from tenants,” says Hauenstein. “My goal for each client is to develop a program to manage risk through regular assessment of their building portfolios, and to provide troubleshooting services that will help resolve noise and vibration complaints as they arise. This holistic approach can reduce costs and improve the tenant experience for both commercial and residential property managers.”
Hauenstein adds, “I’m excited for the opportunity to return to Cerami and to work with the 100-plus top-notch engineering staff that have made the firm an industry leader. And I’m especially looking forward to giving something back to the company that launched my career.”
