Ibstock plc, a manufacturer of clay brick with a diversified range of clay and concrete products in the United Kingdom and United States appointed Greg Silvestri as president of Glen-Gery.

Glen-Gery, founded in 1890, is a North American brick and stone manufacturer, operating 10 manufacturing plants and 10 company-owned distribution locations. Glen-Gery’s products are sold nationally and in Canada through a network of over 500 distributors.

Silvestri joins Glen-Gery from CertainTeed, the insulation division of Saint-Gobain, where he was president for the past six years. Prior to CertainTeed, he was president of Viracon, an architectural glazing business forming a significant part of Apogee Enterprises Inc.

In total, Greg has over thirty years of general management and operational leadership experience since graduation with an MBA from the University of Virginia and a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.

Greg will represent Glen-Gery on the Ibstock Group Executive Committee.
