GMS Inc. a North American distributor of gypsum wallboard, suspended ceiling systems and other specialty building products, announced the acquisition of Southwest Building Materials, Ltd., of Amarillo, Texas.
Founded in 1984, Southwest Building Materials distributes wallboard, ceilings and other interior building products serving residential and commercial projects of all sizes in the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma and Eastern New Mexico markets.
Southwest Building Materials will enhance GMS’s existing distribution network in West Texas, which includes legacy branches in Lubbock, Texas and Midland, Texas.
