Versalift announced its response program in September 2017, because of the devastating 2017 hurricane season. Being a manufacturer of bucket trucks, digger derricks and cable placers for more than 50 years, Versalift has built a North American distribution network that can quickly respond to urgent needs anywhere in the country.
Versalift employees have been aware of the need for quick response to natural disasters for a long time, as these events severely impact the industries in which the company's customers work by doubling workload and increasing operational risk.
After the destructive landfall of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, Versalift began to leverage its organization to make rental fleets, technician training and easy access to capital available to its customers that were mobilizing to restore electric power in Florida, Texas, Louisiana and Puerto Rico. More recently, the fires in Central and Southern California have presented electric power infrastructure challenges, as the network of overhead lines has been badly damaged there. The fleet rental, tech training and capital programs are all being used to intensify recovery efforts in hard-hit areas.
Bucket truck manufacturing process improvements - By improving its manufacturing processes, Versalift is able to build the equipment that is needed more efficiently in recovery efforts around the world.
Bucket truck training programs - With the launch of its online training programs, Versalift can address those training needs that organizations face as they hire new linemen.
Bucket truck rental and financing programs - By keeping its rental fleet at the ready, and providing financing to those customers that are expanding their capabilities, Versalift can respond quickly and meaningfully to new and existing customers.
