When the rest of the construction world hears Grabber, driving screws may come to mind. Ray Verner will be thinking about driving his new Camaro.
Verner won a 1967 Camaro from a raffle sponsored by Grabber Construction Products on March 27 during the INTEX Expo.
To celebrate the company’s 50th year of business anniversary, Grabber gave away a customized Chevy Camaro—an iconic auto brand that got its start the same year Grabber Construction Products began. Attendees of the INTEX Expo were able to purchase raffle tickets during the 2018 event in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The winning number belonged to Verner, CEO of Acousti Engineering, an interior construction company in the Southeast region of Florida.
The raffle raised just short of $32,000, which is cause for even more celebration. The money will be donated equally between the Foundation of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and the Wounded Warrior Project.
“Grabber has experienced remarkable growth and success over our 50 years,” said Bevan Wulfenstein, Grabber marketing director. “We want to celebrate and share that success with the people in our industry. Giving away a car like the ’67 Camaro was a lot of fun, but it also provided us a chance to give back to AWCI and to people who serve our country.”
