Trim-Tex received the 2017 Giving Back Award from Affiliated Distributors, a network of independent distributors and suppliers in the building materials sector. Trim-Tex was recognized for their work with Shore Community Services, a non-profit that strives to improve the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Trim-Tex abrasives and tools are packaged by the clients at Shore Packaging Solutions. As Shore received more work from Trim-Tex and local companies, the space at the training center became limited. Due to a generous donation from Trim-Tex, ground broke on the construction of an 8,400-square foot expansion of the Shore Training Center. It has since been renamed Shore Joseph Koenig, Sr. Training Center to honor the founder of Trim-Tex. Shore is an important and influential part of the Trim-Tex family and we are honored to have been recognized for our dedication to their clients.
