COMING IN 2019
Changes to the ANSI A92 in the United States and CSA B354 in Canada are coming in 2019. CSA will go into effect in May, 2019, and ANSI will go into effect in December, 2019.
Creating a new “normal” for mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs), formerly known as aerial work platforms (AWPs), worldwide, updates to the standards will include changes in:
- Equipment Terminology
- Equipment Design Standards
- Safe Use and Planning
- Risk Assessment Planning
- Training (Operators, Supervisors & Occupants)
- Maintenance and Repair Personnel Training
