Following the example of most governmental and educational institutions, AWCI and CISCA decided to cancel this year’s annual seminars and trade shows taking place at INTEX through March. INTEX was scheduled for March 25-26 in Las Vegas, NV. Well before making the announcement on March 11, several exhibitors scheduled to be at the event began to pull, prompting the associations to make the tough call. 

In a joint press release, the associations said the situation was unprecedented. “This was not an easy decision for our respective organizations. However, it is our obligation to do what is in the best interests of all attendees and our staff."

“As we have all been following the news surrounding coronavirus, it is changing hourly with local and state governments issuing safety declarations, airlines cancelling flights, and large events such as conferences and sporting events being cancelled. Many exhibitors have already informed us that their companies have stopped all employee travel and that they would not be sending anyone to INTEX Expo 20.”

As of present time, no new dates or rescheduling have been confirmed.
