Phase 1 Construction Restart in Washington:
Washington Governor Jay Inslee has announced that work on any existing construction projects may continue if as long as the following safety measures are in place:
- Safety plan to maintain physical distancing, adequate PPE, a COVID-19 site supervisor, etc.
- Comprehensive COVID-19 exposure, control and mitigation plan.
- Posted written notice of the work to be performed at the job site for employees, subcontractors and government officials.
- Safe and healthy worksite.
The announcement included a 30-point list of requirement providing more detail on these components of a safe worksite.
The Governor's office has also issued an addendum to the construction restart announcement.
The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries has published the following document to help employers create a safe worksite.
