In response to weakened economic conditions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, MI Windows and Doors today announced the closure of Milgard manufacturing facilities in Aurora, CO, and Grand Prairie, TX over the next few weeks.

MI remains committed to providing Milgard-branded products and services to customers in the Denver and broader Mountain West Region from its manufacturing facilities located in the Western US. The Milgard brand will no longer be available in Texas; however, a full line of MI-branded products is available from the company’s 400,000-square-foot facility in Flower Mound, TX.

“A significant number of families are impacted by these decisions, and we will do all we can to support them through the transition,” said MI CEO Matt DeSoto. “Unfortunately, it was no longer practical for the long-term health of our business to maintain operations in these locations. Through operational efficiencies at our other manufacturing locations we have ample capacity to meet the current and future needs of our customers.”
