After months of speculation, the Biden administration issued a final decision eliminating the independent contractor status.

Trent Cotney, CEO of Cotney Attorneys & Consultants, breaks down the impact to the construction industry in his latest Legal Insights video with W&C.

Cotney also discussed a new estimator training program the company launched to continue the professionalization of roofing contractors around the country.

“When it comes to estimating there is nothing that’s really specific out there to train people,” he explained. “By the time you’re through with this course, you’ll be at an intermediate level, and we’ll have advance courses available in June.”
