Cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated and prevalent with each passing day, with large companies like T-Mobile coming under fire. With big companies enduring attacks, roofing contractors are just as likely to be a target as other businesses.

WC spoke with cyber-security experts Bill Collins, director of national accounts at Serveco LLC, and Leslie Hicks, president of Cardinal Technology Solutions Inc., on how contractors can better insulate and protect themselves from cyber-attacks.

“If you don’t have users that are regularly trained on how to identify phishing emails, how to identify a malicious email and delete it … you’ve got a weakness,” Hicks said.
