ClarkDietrich is partnering with Building Enclosure to offer a new CEU course to help architects, designers and contractors better understand moisture management issues in stucco finishing systems. The live webinar will be 2 p.m. EST on December 16. Attendees are encouraged to register online prior to the free event.
“STUCCO: Rainscreen, Codes and Standards” will cover the history of moisture management issues and stucco and will also examine the new building code requirements surrounding the use of these systems across each of the different regions of the country. Attendees will gain greater insight into the major methods of moisture management for exterior claddings, understand how to assess the best method for a given situation and to apply these principles in accordance with the latest building codes.
The course will be presented by Mark Fowler, executive director for the Stucco Manufacturers Association and organizational member of ASTM and ACI committees for lath and plastering. The course is eligible for continuing education credits through AIA, IACET and IIBEC.

ClarkDietrich recently introduced E-Screen, a polypropylene entangled mesh rainscreen that helps to address moisture management and drainage in regions that require additional drainage due to excessive moisture. It is available in both 6mm and 10mm sizes and features a two-ply design that deflects mortar when used in stucco or stone veneer installations.
