The Florida Wall and Ceiling Contractors Association announced the appointment of Herman Guevara as president of the organization at its recent conference in Orlando, Fla.

Duties of FWCCA Officers and its Board of Directors include promoting the wall and ceiling industry in Florida and advancing relationships between and among contractors in that industry. The organization also encourages, develops and protects the building industry in general, especially within the wall and ceiling sector.

Guevara is the director of sales at Florida-based Plastic Components.

His career spans more than 30 years in the building materials industry. He holds a BA in business administration (University of Michigan) and a Masters in International Management from AGSIM (Thunderbird). In addition to FWCCA, he is active on many industry boards and committees including AWCI, FLAPB, SMA and ASTM.
