ClarkDietrich, the largest manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing products, interior and exterior finishing products and accessories in North America, announced today that the company has completed its acquisition of Structa Wire Corp, a manufacturer of high-performance welded wire products for the lath and plaster industry.
The acquisition caps a longstanding partnership that began in 2012 when the two companies announced a distribution agreement, in which ClarkDietrich provided full sales support and delivery of Structa Wire products to 40 states across the United States. Then, in 2018, ClarkDietrich purchased a 50% ownership stake in the company.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Structa Wire was founded by Abe and Jeff Sacks more than 20 years ago. Today, the company designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of proprietary products developed to improve the performance of stucco for steel and wood-framed construction, including popular brands such as Structalath, Mega Lath and Structa Corner.
“Structa Wire’s history of innovation and quality manufacturing have made it a natural extension of our team, and we are pleased to complete the process of fully integrating the company into the ClarkDietrich family,” said Jim Collins, president and CEO of ClarkDietrich. “Structa Wire’s high-performance products naturally complement our existing portfolio of solutions for stucco wall applications, delivering outstanding value to our customers.”
“The transfer of ownership evolved from a harmonious and proven relationship with ClarkDietrich, as well as our shared principles and values, which bodes well for the future of Structawire,” said Abe and Jeff Sacks.
