The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry announced on Oct. 5 that The 2021 End-Use Market Survey on the Polyurethanes Industry in the United States, Canada and Mexico is now available for purchase from the ACC store. The study is the result of a three-year survey on the polyurethanes industry in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The data was presented during the awards luncheon of the 64th Polyurethanes Technical Conference.
“The survey reports that polyurethane production rose to over 9.4 billion pounds,” said Lee Salamone, senior director of CPI. “U.S. polyurethane production rose in several major product segments between 2018 and 2021, with the most significant growth in the rigid foam market. The survey and the presentation described the impact of recent events, like the pandemic, supply chain issues and adverse weather events, on demand for raw materials.”
