ClarkDietrich has announced the promotion of Jennifer Edgar to vice president of marketing. Edgar assumes the role following the retirement of Terry Westerman, who has held the position since 2005.
“Terry leaves some big shoes to fill, but if anyone is up to the task, it’s Jen,” said Jim Collins, president and CEO at ClarkDietrich. “Having worked closely with Terry for years and her rich experience in building product sales and marketing, nobody is as qualified to help lead ClarkDietrich’s marketing efforts. Throughout her career, Jen has developed a strong understanding of the challenges facing today’s builders and contractors and how to aid in the development of innovative products and digital solutions that save them time and money, and that will be key to ClarkDietrich’s success in the years to come.”
Edgar has more than 20 years of experience in various sales leadership and marketing roles. Before her promotion, she spent six years as a corporate product manager for ClarkDietrich, where she was responsible for launching and managing many time-saving solutions for steel framing contractors. Edgar also previously held various roles during 10 years with Dietrich Metal Framing, including regional sales manager and marketing manager. Other past positions include trade sales for Pella Corporation, outside sales for Ryerson, Inc. and regional sales manager for Metal Sales Manufacturing.
“ClarkDietrich has a rich history of marketing products and services that help create strong, resilient structures and help construction professionals thrive both on and off the job site,” Edgar said. “I'm humbled by the trust the company has placed in me to lead the marketing team and I'm looking forward to preserving and evolving on our promise to focus on what's most important to our customers, ultimately creating product and technology solutions that save them time for what matters.”
