Senate HELP Advances Nomination of Jessica Looman to Lead Wage and Hour Division
On March 28, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee voted 12-9 to advance the SWACCA-supported nomination of Jessica Looman to serve as Administrator of the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division. GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) joined with all Committee Democrats in support of Looman’s nomination. Looman’s nomination now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
In addition to Looman’s nomination, the HELP Committee also voted 11-10 to advance Jose Javier Rodriguez’s nomination to lead DOL’s Employment and Training Administration to the full Senate for a vote.
