The Occupational Safety and Health Administration announced that it will increase the fee for course completion cards for its Outreach Training Program from $8 to $10 per card to address significant costs associated with producing and distributing the cards. These cards confirm that a worker has completed OSHA Outreach Training Programs, including the 10- and 30-hour basic safety courses tailored to construction, maritime and general industry, as well as 7.5- and 15-hour classes for disaster site workers. These courses cover the basics of worker rights and OSHA protections and describe how to identify, avoid and prevent workplace hazards. OSHA also announced the agency will adjust the fee every two years, if needed, based on the Consumer Price Index.
